It can be hard to come up with ideas for gifts to give teachers. Especially if it is for multiple teacher's like in a daycare environment. It can also be very expensive!

This year, why not get the kids involved and teach them all about the fun of giving presents?

I have found two very cheap, but personalised, ways to say thank you this year.

The first requires a box of paint your own plaster ornaments (from Kmart for under $10). This includes 10 ornaments, paint and a paintbrush.

Get the kids all creative and they will love it. This is perfect if you have a lot of teachers and not a big budget to work with.

Add some glitter and a cute ribbon to thread through and they will gorgeous.

The second idea is to buy plain white mugs (these can be purchased anywhere - but at Kmart they are only 75 cents each).

Then purchase some permanent markers and let your kids decorate.

Bake them in a very hot oven for about an hour, and the ink wont wash off.

You can then fill them up with chocolates or a scented candle and if the budget allows - perhaps a giftcard.

Wrap it up in cellophane, tie a ribbon around it and it's finished.

Both are very basic gifts, but they are things that the kids will be very proud to give, as they made them themselves.

It's the spirit of giving and the thought that counts!
