The forthcoming Family Sundays: Stop! Motion Animation event at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) celebrates the much anticipated opening of Wallace & Gromit and Friends: The Magic of Aardman Exhibition.

ACMI's ever popular Family Sundays events invite Melbourne families and tourists to enjoy elements of the popular museum, gallery and creative space for free, in themed activities held on the first Sunday of each month.

ACMI Family Sundays: Stop! Motion Animation will dedicate the day to the wacky animation world of Aardman Studios.

Taking place on Sunday 2 July, this is your opportunity to meet one of the founders of Aardman Studios, David Sproxton and learn the secrets to the art and craft of claymation.

Inspired to create your own short animation? You can at the drop-in animation workshop! Experiment with the tradition of the Zoetrope, one of the earliest forms of animation.

Enjoy a sing-a-long session with Timmy Time tunes on the Lightwell stage, and test your skills with a range of Aardman videogames.

Lastly, get into character through the magic of green screen and have your photo taken with Wallace and Gromit.
