ArtVo is a very popular name here in Melbourne. A family-friendly gallery where you can actually become part of the picture. Miss 3 and I ventured to Docklands to step into the the action.
Getting any good photos of kids is never an easy task. I tend to follow the rule if I take 50 million photos I may get 1 good one if I'm lucky.
However at ArtVo, the home of living art, holding a pose is optional. So I managed to get 50 million good ones of Miss 3!
ArtVo is a gallery of interactive paintings that are designed to be touched and enjoyed. Unlike some galleries that can be quite serious, ArtVo is all about fun and laughter. The more into character you get, the better your photo. There are staff on hand to encourage you to be part of the action, whilst taking photos for you. Every one is able to dive into the art.
Miss 3 and I spent about 1 hour laughing and having fun posing in front of different scenes and adventures. Her little imagination went into overdrive as she came up with stories of each painting and how we fitted in.
I think my favourite was her standing very quiet and still so the giant couldn't find her. Funny enough it took me quite a while to take that photo. I wonder why that was lol.
Something else worth noting; under 4s are free and if you have a Small Ideas membership, your entry will be 20% off which is a bargain day out.
Your journey into the art awaits you.
