Head down to Scienceworks on Monday 3 August , and take part in The Australian Book of Records "Biggest Playgroup" record attempt.
The Little Kids Day In event will see families en masse participate in a fun filled activity that is set to attract families from all over Melbourne and beyond.
Playgroup Victoria host monthly Little Kids Day In's at Scienceworks, which are social events geared toward children aged six and under, along with their parents and carers. The idea is to encourage the little ones to enjoy Scienceworks without having to compete with large school groups.
Alice in Wonderland Exhibition at Scienceworks
To coincide with the Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family exhibition, this special event will celebrate all things dinosaur. Dig out the kid's dino t-shirts or dress them in their favourite dinosaur costume for the day.
To mark the occasion, there will be a range of dinosaur themed activities such as dino-crafts and archaeology digs as well as an opportunity to see real fossils from the Museum Victoria natural sciences collection, with life size replicas of bones, claws and teeth.
Playgroup Victoria’s Ambassador - best-selling children’s author and illustrator Jeannette Row, will invite children to join her for a dinosaur themed story time, and performer Jurassic Joe will get the crowd up dancing, singing, and having fun whilst learning about all things dinosaur.
