This week's Book of The Week goes to Marge in Charge.

Marge in Charge

You most likely know of the beautiful, copper-haired actress, Isla Fisher; but did you know that she has taken her fabulous humor and put it into a fantastic children's book called Marge in Charge?

It is a book that kids will adore. With three short-stories about a very short, unassuming looking babysitter, called Marge; who spices up the lives of Jake and Jemima Button.

Told from the perspective of Jemima, a 7 year-old big sister to an inquisitive, cheeky 4 year-old, Jakeypants.

Marge tells many stories about herself; my favourite one is that she is a Duchess who owns 16 pets, one of them being an albino water buffalo.

The children are captivated, especially when she removes her hat to reveal her flowing rainbow tresses!

Each story tells fantastical tales of crazy adventures that will charm young readers and amuse adults alike.

The book itself it set out in large font, with plenty of gorgeous illustrations and border art to keep the younger readers interested.

Isla Fisher has a great imagination. The stories are packed full of vivid imagery and meticulous metaphors; which combined with her sense of comedic timing, makes this a truly well-written and must have book for ages 7 - 10.

I cannot wait or the next installment in the series.

Marge in Charge is out now and can be purchased here.

RRP $14.99
