Last month, my family joined the Clip Clop Club which is a junior membership to the Melbourne Racing Club. I had heard about their kids zones before, as my husband frequents the races quite often, but thought that it would be a jumping castle and that was about it.
Let me tell you, the kids zone that we went to at Caufield on Family day was epic! There was a jumping castle, ball pit, face painting, craft station with about 4 activities, sports zone with 2 or three stations, a stage with kids entertainment, a Ferris wheel, giant inflatable balls on water and rides that we didn't even get to because we ran out of time! All of these activities were free and included in the membership.
The kids zone is located right on the track and there are chairs and tables dotted around so parents can take a break while their kids are having fun. And yes, you can bring drinks into the kids zone and watch the race!
All Clip Cloppers are sent a landyard which entitles them to some merchandise and treats on entry. Last time my daughter got a little backpack with a hat and a toy horse as well as a fairy floss Clip Cloppers also have free entry to the racecourse as well as their parents – thanks guys!
The season is almost over but I think the most exciting day is to come. On Easter Saturday this year, there is going to be a Easter Egg Hunt presented by Cadbury as well as all the fun zone.
Clip Clop membership is available for children 11 and under and you can join on the website here or on the day. I would recommend joining before. Membership is now only $15 for the remaining 2 race days, which I think is a pretty great value day out for the family.
