Code Camp are once again hosting coding camps in Melbourne over the Easter school holidays, and would like the KidTown Melbourne community to know what's happening!
Code Camp has taught more than 15,000 students to build their own game with code, and now want to ignite the same passion for code (and the skills like project management and confidence building that come along with attending the camps) to kids all over Melbourne.
The three and four day coding camps are being held from 3 - 19 April, at multiple school-based locations across Melbourne and cater to children from as young as five years old.
“When you’re 8 years old, creating your own game is one step short of getting into Hogwarts. Code Camp allows students to be creative with technology, develop logical thinking, problem solving skills and an understanding of computational thinking,” says Code Camp Co-founder, Ben Levi.
Ben says their focus is on making the experience as fun as possible and giving the kids tangible results as soon as possible to encourage further development of their coding skills.
Code Camp runs three programs:
Little League Code Camp (Years K-1)
Code Camp Spark and Ignite (Years 2-7)
Code Camp Leap (For students who have mastered Spark & Ignite Camps)
Where: Various locations across Melbourne including North Melbourne, Albert Park, Toorak, Elwood and more.
Cost: Camps start from $350 for three days or $440 for a four day camp. Camps run from 9am - 3:30pm.
Bookings: Essential, via codecamp.com.au
