This March and April, the Shirley Burke Theatre in Parkdale becomes The Creative Lounge for kids thanks to Kingston Arts
Keep your children's minds ticking over the Easter school holidays, with a selection of interesting Creative Lounge workshops.
Release your child's inner storytelling skills in the Creative Writing workshop, or let your kids become an Artist for a Day. Budding Journo's can have a go at being a real-life journalist, in a fun workshop involving an iPad or smart phone.
How about an action packed performing arts class, run by circus stars Christy Flaws and Luke O'Connor, involving hula-hooping and acro-balance. Otherwise beginner tech's can join the Tech Camp and construct a LEGO mindstorm robot to compete in the arena.
Let's Make a Play Drama Workshop
Magicians in the making can make their own wands, and learn the tricks of the trade in one of two magic classes, one suited kids aged 5 to 7 and another for kids 8 to 12 years.
Teens with an interest in storytelling, writing and stage performance can join a two-day Make a Play drama workshop.
Tots aren't left out either, they can hop their way into the Stardust Fairies: The Hippety Hop Show; a 50 minute interactive Easter themed performance suited to kids aged 2 to 7.
