Dales Park Playground undergoes major redevelopment
Dales Park is best recognised as the location for Kingston and District Netball facilities. The area is currently undergoing major improvements; which includes the recent completion of the playground.
Dales park playground is now your perfect go to park with the kids. With a bigger and better fenced off playspace, it's best suited to all ages.
The main play equipment includes slides, a climbing wall, fireman's pole, net bridge, vee bridge, accessible shop counter and track glide.
It also includes a climbing net structure with turn-over bar, double rocker and carousel spinner, along with a bird's nest swing and standard swing set.
There is a sizable nature play area with sandpit, rocks and a timber teepee cubby. Whilst on the topic of nature, the park includes new garden bed and trees for future shade.
The shelter is large with picnic tables and a bbq. It's in close proximity to the play area. The park upgrade includes furniture, drinking fountain, bike racks and of course a bin!
Included in the plans (and almost completed) is a new fitness-station; which will be a hit for the locals. Access to parking is best via Washington Drive or parking on a side street direct access; as there is no direct access to park on Warrigal Road at times.
Our tip: Be sure to check when Netball games and training are in operation; to avoid a busy period
