Nope, my children's names were chosen by their grandmothers. The first-born was named by his paternal grandma, and the second-born was named by her maternal grandma.
Middle names - family relevance but not first names
No. Middle names are meant for the weird family names that are passed down. That way they are not considered as important.
I wouldn't do it, although with my confirmation name we had to choose a saint. I chose St Margaret of Scotland, thereby my other chosen name is Margaret because my Gradmother, Mother (real) and Aunty are all Margaret's.
Their middle names came from family - a great-grandmother and a sister.
yes,all 3 of my children are named after close family and they are very proud of their names
yes both my children were named after their grandparents and great grandparents. Both first and middle names! We just so happened to like the names! Not sure what we will do if we have a third, there are no nice names left :)
