Spring is just around the corner, which means the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2017 is almost ready to launch.

The Melbourne Fringe Festival is an annual arts festival held in Victoria's capital city and the second largest in Australia (after the Adelaide Fringe).

Held every year from mid-September to early October, the Melbourne Fringe Festival offers fun workshops, circuses, comedy acts, interactive art and a whole lot more.

Just in time for the spring school holidays, the Melbourne Fringe Festival will offer yet another action packed and affordable (some activities are completely free) program for children to enjoy in 2017.

Between 27 September to 1 October, the Fringe’s "Kids Club" will transform ArtPlay into play space decimated to children's activities. The Kids Club is one of the highlights of the festival and is completely free for all to enjoy.

Additionally, there is a full and fabulous line-up of events to appeal to all children from tots to pre-teens.

Highlights of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2017 for Children

Fizzy Kids

Multi-award-winning comedian Isabel Angus (EDGE!, PRIME!, BLISS!) is joined by theatre-maker Harley Hefford in her debut children’s show, Fizzy Kids!

Fun characters Angus and 'identical' twin brother Dizzy have found themselves worn down by the pressures of being All Grown Up. Their goal? To stop being disgustingly serious adults and become ultimate Fizzy Kids (Fun, Interesting, Zany, Zestful, Youthful Kids).

How will they manage this? By throwing a life-changing Birthday Extravaganza with a twist, with the help from you and all their new friends in the audience!

Utilising an entertaining mix of wordplay, dance and physical comedy, Fizzy Kids! appeals to both children and adults, suited to ages 4 plus.
