Frankston Sand Sculpting Australia 2016

Sand Sculpting Australia will be back in Frankston this summer, for the ninth annual exhibit showcasing the work of the world's best sand sculpting artists.

This year's theme, 'A Day at The Zoo', will see 20 sand sculpture artists from around the world put their skills to the test.

No less than 3,500 tonnes of sand into an sculpture exhibition celebrating all things zoo. Over 100 animals will be carved on the Frankston waterfront, including monkeys, giraffes, elephants, lions, meercats, zebras, orangutans and gorillas to name a few.

'A Day at The Zoo' isn't all about admiring sculptures, there are interactive activities for you and your children to enjoy, including:

A giant sand pit
Lego play zone
Sand sculpting workshops
Speed carve demonstrations
Cafe including healthy alternatives as well as gluten and dairy free choices
Sand diggers ($2 a go)

For an extra cost, you and your kids can also create sand art and sand bottles to take home.
