It's here and it's awesome. The National Gallery of Victoria's (NGV) Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei art exhibition.
The exhibition in its entirety, takes over the ground floor of the NGV, right down to the quirky Warhol | Weiwei related paraphernalia in the NGV shop.
The widely acclaimed, and incredibly humble Chinese born artist Ai Weiwei, spent his last day in Melbourne mingling with families to celebrate the kids segment of his exhibition.
An element of Weiwei's exhibition, Studio Cats, allows children and their families to create shareable social media content within NGV Kids' gallery space. To celebrate, Weiwei spent the day posing for selfies with families, posting images on his own instagram account @aiww for all to see. Have a look at the hashtag #WeiweiSelfie tagged with @NGVMelbourne to see visitors' shared selfies.

Studio Cats: Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei is part of the greater big-name exhibition blockbuster, which sees Weiwei's art displayed alongside the late Warhol's work.
As the name suggests, Studio Cats celebrates all things cat. The colourful exhibition, which explores Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei’s mutual love of cats, includes hands-on interactive fun. Your kids can create Warhol videos in photobooths, build blocks in the Brillo Box factory, create cat memes on feline computers, and watch a movie, all about cats, in a mini theatre.
