Your little dancers are in for a treat during Children's Week this year, with a series of very special FREE dance and movement workshops facilitated by The Australian Ballet, at the Aspendale Gardens Community Service Inc (AGCS).
These workshops, made possible by a Children’s Week Grant from the City of Kingston, offer pre-school aged children (3-5yrs) the opportunity to embrace a dance and literacy experience unlike any other.
The program, loosely based around the story of The Sleeping Beauty, featuring music from the ballet, invites children to participate in one of four 45 minute workshops on Tuesday 25 October 2016. Classes begin at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
Angela Costigan, Community Development Coordinator for the Aspendale Gardens Community Service states that they are thrilled to be able to offer these workshops to local pre-school children:
"It’s a great opportunity for girls and boys to
explore the joys of dance and movement in a local setting. No previous dance experience is required and all children between 3-5 years are encouraged to attend". Angela says.
Workshops are FREE to attend, but must be booked in advance as places are strictly limited.
