Gold Coast family holiday without a theme park in sight
Like so many families from Melbourne, the G family ventured up to the sunny Gold Coast. However we where far too busy to visit any theme parks...
Visit the Gold Coast with kids
We started our adventure by flying from Avalon Airport to Gold Coast Airport, which by the way is a fantastic airport to travel from Melbourne if you have kids. We picked up our hire car when we arrived at the Gold Coast Airport and checked into an Airbnb property.
The Gold Coast with Kids
This is what we did on our visit to the Gold Coast thereafter, click on each link below to take you to the full review of each attraction.
We drove to the Cape Byron Lighthouse known for being the most easterly point of the Australian mainland.
We took our senses on an extraordinary adventure at Tropical Fruit World. Here we tasted, smelt, felt, touched and saw so many different varieties of fruits, and went on both a tractor and boat ride all at the same venue.
And we walked along the Tellebudgera Creek which was voted the best swimming spot in Australia.
After so much fun we are already planning our next trip back to the Gold Coast.
