Enjoy some quality time at the zoo with your grandchildren, on the week of 21 - 27 November.
Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo will pulling out all the stops to entertain grandparents and families. Expect seven days of special activities, games, talks and tours, geared towards grandparents and grandchildren to enjoy together.
The activities vary at each Zoo:
At Werribee Open Range Zoo, there will be two Junior Safari Tours running at 10.10am and 11am each day during the week. If you are worried about walking too far, mobile buggy tours led by Zoo Volunteers that are available if you pre-book.
Additionally, there is a new Koala Talk at 10.30am for the week, and the Safari Tour will also include a special focus on grandparent animals.
At Melbourne Zoo the Keeper Presentations will be tailored around grandparent animals.
For the more adventurous; grandparent-sized dress ups will be available for strictly fun times only in Ranger Kids at Werribee Open Range Zoo and Future Vets at Healesville Sanctuary!
Whether itís scones with jam and cream with the Koala family at Werribee Open Range Zoo, or storytelling at Healesville Sanctuary, there will be plenty of photo moments for grandparents and children.
