With so many good films being released, taking your kids to the cinema is a great opportunity to give them, and you, a break.
Frankston has a Hoyts cinema located right in its centre. Not far from Bayside and shops, it's in a great location, plays the latest films and is conveniently right next to two restaurants. These two restaurants (Mambo's and Eccoqui) are very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, unsurprisingly.
If you're looking at going out for a meal with the family and then on to a movie (or vice versa) Hoyts cinema Frankston is a great choice! Both restaurants offer discounts for Hoyts Frankston films and a magnificent range of food. Try the chicken parmigana at Mambo's - absolutely delicious!
With special deals including kid-specific sessions and $9.90 tickets for everyone on Tuesdays and Sundays, it's a relatively affordable way of spending a few hours on entertainment. Of course, when attending the cinema not during the special discount times, you will pay a premium. Adult ticket prices can cost as much as $19.50. Student prices also can cost about $16.50.
The seats are comfy and there are at least 13 cinemas in the complex. Sessions times range from 9am right through to 10:30pm, so there's always a movie on for you.
Like all cinemas, Hoyts Frankston has great toilets and plenty of food available at the Candy Bar. The food at the candy bar includes chocolates, lollies, popcorn, ice cream and a range of drinks. As with all cinemas it's important to bring your own food or be prepared to pay plenty.
Frankston is easily accessible via public transport. Buses and trains enter Frankston directly, and there are bike and walking paths as well. For those looking to park at the cinemas, there is a carpark underneath Frankston Hoyts but there is a charge for this carpark.
