A fabulous initiative from Parks Victoria is the Junior Rangers Guided Activities. Junior Rangers offer free activities at some of Victoria's most magnificent national parks and reserves. All adventures are led by an experienced, informative park ranger and adults get to join in the fun too! Activities vary from rock pool discovery, cave exploration, spotlight night walks, wetland walks, fire recovery, environmental craft and game sessions, and a variety of cultural and environmental walks at different locations across Victoria.
Check out the Junior Rangers website for full details on all the adventures they are offering during the school holidays and secure a spot in one of these exciting days out. If you do miss out on booking an activity, check out the websites ''make and do' section for lots of fun printable holiday activities.
The kids and I are booked in for the Beneath the Light tour of the majestic Cape Schanck Light House on Monday. This includes free entrance and a guided tour of the lighthouse (entrance fee is usually $16 for adults and $9 for children). I have also printed off the Explore Ricketts Point booklet for a relaxing morning exploring the beautiful Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary located in Beaumaris (and a trip to the Ricketts Point Teahouse!). Happy exploring!
