Anyone with kids would know that a trip to the shopping centre is a necessary evil of parenthood. By the time you have found a park, wrestled the pram out of the car (and the children in it!) and run the first errand/visited the first shop the kids are cracking it and calling for snacks or entertainment.
This is the precise reason why I take my kids to Southland on Wednesdays when they have their kids mornings. My 3 year old is so excited to go to Southland these days I may as well be taking her to the ice-cream shop!
Kids mornings are conveniently located opposite Toyworld on level 2. (see what they did there?) They run from 10-1pm and parents are invited to drop in at a time that suits them. So far we have met the Trolls, made a puppet, a cat mobile and made a yummy dip and chopped veggies! Southland have now launched a kids mornings stamp card so that for every 8 stamps you receive a double pass to V Junior! Did I mention its free? And there is a cafe next door, so you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee while your kids are being entertained.
The program for the next few weeks is below:
15 March - Colouring Competition with Purebaby
22 March – Smurfs Activity Zone
29 March - Rainbow Mobile Craft Lesson
