The winter school holiday program has been put together to include a variety of hands-on workshops to inspire children across the South East.
Join a handful of Melbourne's creative industry professionals as they teach their skills to young folk ranging from 5 years plus.
Workshops in the winter school holiday program 2015 include:
Circus with Asking for Trouble
Christy and Luke from Asking for Trouble will lead groups of children aged 8 - 12 on a 1.5 hour fast paced workshop, involving a combination of creative games, physical warm up, object balance, hula hooping and acro-balance.
Bennie from The Social Knitwork will teach kids age plus how to knit a scarf with chunky wool that is super easy and lots of fun.

Sensational Sculpture with Juliet D Collins
Full Day (Age 8 plus)
Children will go through an artistic development process to design and create their imaginative idea into a 3D take-home sculpture. The workshop will start with drawing and design and move onto fundamental construction skills and enhance understanding of working in 3 dimensions.
Fun arty games and creative activities will guide participants to unlock their imaginations, unleash their creativity and learn fundamentals of construction to create their own sensational sculpture to take home!

Drawn2Print with Jodi Helliwell and Juliet Collins
The collaboration of two local artists Jodi Helliwell and Juliet D Collins bring a fun filled creative workshop to Shirley Burke Theatre for children age 10 plus. Drawn2Print will guide children through experiential drawing skill activities and screen printing techniques.

Robo Warrior Challenge with Techcamp
Techcamp once again introduces a world of Lego mechanics to Shirley Burke Theatre with a Robo Warrior holiday workshop. Children will work in pairs to build a Lego mindstorms robot to battle other Lego Robots in the battle Arena. This will be a knock out event and there can be only one winner!
From yoga-go-go to acting, to art and dance, four facilitators have joined forces to create a unique experience for children exploring the theme of metamorphosis.

Dynamic Drawing with Juliet D Collins
Full Day (Age 8 plus)
Local artist Juliet D Collins introduces an artistic workshop for children involving games and activities. There will be exploration of pattern and texture and fun using 3D forms on a flat picture plane using light and shade.
A wide range of drawing techniques will be covered, and an array of different media to learn new skills with.
Juliet will teach children how to draw anything! There will be fun arty games using different materials which will give kids the creative confidence to use their own imagination and enhance their drawing skills.
