An outdoor adventure not to be missed this Summer.

The weather in the summer school holidays usually allows for opportunities to head outdoors. Luckily, there are plenty of options for you to do just that, whether it be the park, playground, sculpture parks, art galleries or trips to the beach.

If you fancy heading out with the kids during the evening, why not consider a trip to Boneo Maze in Fingal, Mornington Peninsula for Lantasia Dreaming.

Hello Possum - Lantasia Dreaming

The return of the much-anticipated lantern festival at Boneo Maze sees large silk sculptures, some up to 3m high, scattered throughout the beautiful gardens and walkways of the large eco-tourism complex.

These beautiful sculptures are crafted in the same traditional Chinese lantern making methods, much like you may have seen at the Dandenong Light Festival.

Thirsty frog Tiddalik

This year's theme, Lantasia Dreaming, sees native wildlife spring into colourful life as Dreamtime characters such as the Elder wombat, Waa the wise crow, the heroic eagle Bunjil, the thirsty frog Tiddalik and their fellow friends shower visitors with magical light.

The enjoyment begins at 6pm as Boneo Maze opens for the night, running through until 10pm. Obviously the best time to enjoy the display is after dark, which means way past bedtime for most youngsters, but hey, it's school holidays, right?

Whatcha doin', ant?

Even if your kids don't make it past 8, simply running free around Boneo Maze, making the most of the sculptures in daylight, whilst enjoying a round of mini golf, play an outdoor game, or have a crack at the outdoor maze, is well worth a visit.

Boneo Maze is a serene and beautiful spot, with lots of green space, and a boardwalk to stroll through the wetlands.

Lantasia Dreaming is a beautiful addition to Boneo Maze this summer, and a must visit if you find yourself in the area.
