Live Performances at Darebin Arts’ September School Holiday Events

Darebin Arts are all set to entertain your kids over the school holidays with fun live performances and musical entertainment.

The September School Holiday program will be held at Northcote Town Hall and Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre (DAEC) from Saturday 19 September – Sunday 4 October, 2015.

Headlining the entertainment will be children’s entertainer Peter Combe, and an inter-galactic adventure with Polyglot Theatre.

Polyglot Theatre’s Separation Street is a brand new theatrical adventure. The world premiere will be on Saturday 19 September and will run until Sunday 4 October at Northcote Town Hall.

Separation Street is a unique show that takes children on their own electrifying journey into a tangible, interactive and walk-through world of wonder.

Follwing that, Peter Combe returns with a brand new Melbourne-premiere show Wash Your Kids in Orange Juice. The show, performing on Sunday 20 and Monday 19 September, will you all up singing and dancing along with Mr Clicketty Cane, the fictional character who famously washes his face with orange juice, Newspaper Mama, Toffee Apple, Juicy Juicy Green Grass, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Quirky Berserky the Turkey from Turkey and more.

Lastly, Random Musical will perform at the DAEC on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 30 September. This one-of-a-kind show, bought to you by the creators of Spontaneous Broadway, will have you create the script for a Random Musical! Your script will be performed on-the-spot by talented comedians Scott Brennan, Rik Brown and Gillian Cosgriff.

After the performance, you can all partake in the School of Random Workshop, where you will learn the ‘tricks of the trade’ of improvisation. The hands-on 60 minute workshop is filled with music and drama activities, in which you and your kids will learn the rules of improvisation and how to create songs, characters, scenes and stories on the spot. The workshop will be led by the stars of Random Musical, Brennan, Brown and Cosgriff.
