A wonderful celebration of the renowned Japanese animation studio, Studio Ghibli will take place at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) between 24 August and 24 September, 2017.
The month long celebration will see a mammoth screening of Studio Ghibli's animations, offering Melburnians and visitors the chance to embrace the arguably the best Japanese anime, whether you are an avid fan or new to the genre.
23 Studio Ghibli titles will be available to enjoy, including the much loved My Neighbour Totoro (1988) as well Ponyo (2008), Howl’s Moving Castle (2004) and the Academy Award® and Golden Bear winning Spirited Away (2001).
Some of the studio's newest releases will also been screened, including The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (2013), The Wind Rises (2013) and the tale of curiosity and friendship When Marnie Was There (2014).
Get down to the ACMI this August and September and celebrate two of the most creative global animation studios, showcased right here in Melbourne.
