The hosts of ABC3's children's TV programme Operation Ouch! arrive in Melbourne this January, in their first ever live show based on the hit TV series.
The presenters of Operation Ouch!, British identical twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand, are all set to perform an action packed live stage show filled with plenty of mind blowing stunts, crazy experiments and amazing facts about biology and the human body.
Operation Ouch! is a popular British TV programme produced for children. The educational show focused on the human body, what happens in A&E and what doctors have to do when problems occur.
Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken grew up in London and trained in medicine at Oxford University, graduating in 2002. They have combined work in the UK’s National Health Service with global health work and television; appearing in Blizzard: Race to the Pole, Medicine Men and Medicine Men Go Wild.
Operation Ouch! first aired in 2012, and since then has won two BAFTAs and is now in its fifth season.
Now the well-known TV siblings are all set to perform Operation Ouch! in front of a live Australian audience, performing at the Playhouse at Arts Centre Melbourne on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January, 2017.
What can your kids expect to learn from the show? Lots of interesting facts about the human body that you might not have thought to talk about before:
What does it look like inside of Dr Xand’s head?
How can germs be good for you?
What can you do with a month’s worth of farts?
How does sneezing work?
What exactly happens to the food you eat?
How can bugs be good for you?
These are the sort of questions that will be answered, and more, in a fun and interesting way that introduces medical science to your children.
