The historic Dame Elisabeth Murdoch's Cruden Farm, situated in Langwarrin Victoria will open its gates to the public, free of charge, on Tuesday 4th April 2017 for a 'Party in the Park'!
The glorious property was given to Elisabeth Murdoch as a wedding present in 1928 and entry is usually limited to special event days that attract an entrance free, however Party in the Park is a free day with a myriad of stalls, local business information, activities, stage shows, and craft activites that are focused on children.
My children and I went to the free day last year as I had always wanted to have a look at the property, what we found were majestic oak trees, colourful flowering rose gardens, tree lines driveways, historic buildings, secret gardens and ornamental lakes.
This year we will sideline the stalls and events and head to the ornamental lake for a picnic, collect acorns from under the massive umbrella of the oak tree, and explore the beautiful gardens. A great, FREE, fun day for everyone.
