Get your skates on because Melbourne is all set to embrace winter this July, with the return of the River Rink in Fed Square.
Just in time for the winter school holidays, River Rink is a pop-up ice skating rink, encouraging families to enjoy an outdoor skating experience in the heart of the city, both day and night.
Enjoy the picturesque backdrop of the Yarra River and the city skyline whilst gliding along the ice on the Terrace (towards Birrarung Mar).
This winter wonderland experience adds a touch of the Northern Hemisphere to Melbourne, as the River Rink treats skaters to twinkling fairy lights and plays all the latest tunes, which add to the city's wintery atmosphere.
There will be a great line up of warming winter food, drinks and snacks for sale along the river, creating a village-like atmosphere and a taste of Europe right in the heart of Melbourne.
The River Rink is suitable for all ages and abilities. Cute 70cm high penguin skating aids are available for hire to assist your little learners, and give them the support and confidence they need to enjoy this uniquely Melbourne winter experience.
