Don't freak out now Melbourne parents, but it is time to say goodbye to Scienceworks' Nitty Gritty Super City.
Fear not though, despite this popular play space in Melbourne's world renowned science-museum attracting little kiddies in their droves, there are plans for a special new interactive play space for young children later in the year.
What better to bid farewell to the Nitty Gritty Super City than to throw a big party for the next Little Kids’ Day In, with all the favourite activities – rockets, bubbles, free planetarium shows and liquid nitrogen cake!
The celebrations take place on Monday 4 September. Come dressed up as part of your favourite scene from Nitty Gritty Super City and receive a Scienceworks Badge. Will you be someone who works in the café or recycling plant? Or a construction worker, gardener, musician, sailor or even a weather reporter?
Little Kids’ Day In events are held on the first Monday of every month, designed for kids aged 5 and under, their parents and carers.
Where: 2 Booker St, Spotswood VIC
When: 10am - 2pm
Cost: Little kids FREE. Big kids (adults) $14. Museum Members receive FREE museum entry.
