A voucher book designed exclusively for Melbourne Families

You know the infamous Entertainment Book? It's that fat book, which boasts discount vouchers to use in popular Melbourne eateries, tourist spots and recreational activities, often associated with kinder, playgroup and charity fundraisers.

Although Small Ideas shouldn't be compared to the aforementioned, because they aren't in any way connected, the concept is almost the same, even the fundraising bit. The main difference, is that Small Ideas is half the price of the Entertainment Book, and includes such things as 30% off sports, AFL memberships, up to 20% off birthday cakes, facepainters, and that sort of thing.

Small Ideas, is a coupon book, put together by Melbourne Mum Belinda Small. Now in its third published year, Small Ideas brings you discounts, offers, 2-for-1's and freebees for anything to do with children. An example of the vouchers you can use:

- Discount Entry to Melbourne Sealife Aquarium (one adult entry at child price)
- 2 for 1 'flight' on the Melbourne Star
- 20% Discount off a Family 3 Park's Pass (Penguins Parade)
- 2 for 1 AMF Bowling
- 25% off Baby Bunting

The above is merely a snippet of what's inside. There's discounts available from Bounce Inc, Mini Maestros, playcentres such as SuperZu and Crocs, various stores, discount entry to Dinosaur World, DVD kiosk rentals, kid-friendly restaurants, and even 50% off a family membership to Collingwood Football Club!

So far, I've redeemed a voucher when visiting Habitots in Albert Park, and my family intend to visit Myuna Farm in the not-too-distant future, to redeem our free rides voucher. I'm sure one of my boys would love a birthday party visit from the Melbourne Transformers, too! (20% off weekday booking when using a Small Ideas voucher)

If you are the type of family who likes to get out and enjoy what Melbourne has to offer, Small Ideas is worth the investment. If you live in the North or West of Melbourne, you have even more places in which you can redeem your vouchers.

Small Ideas 2016 Edition is priced at $29.95. If you are part of a fundraising committee, consider using Small Ideas 2016 as a fundraiser for your day care centre, kinder, playgroup or primary school. $1 from every book sold is donated to The Good Friday Appeal.
