The Gold Coast offers some of the most magnificent scenery in there world. We all know Queensland's beaches are pretty hard to beat, though if you turn around, you will notice the mountain range of the Springbrook National Park in the distance. We ventured into the rainforest which is the set for "I'm a celebrity get me out of here."
Springbrook National Park Gold Coast
The Springbrook National Park is around a 50 minute drive from the hussle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, home to spectacular waterfalls, lush rainforests and incredible views.
There are so many walks available for all levels of fitness, however with a 3 year old in tow, Mr G and I decided to stick to locations within easy reach of the car parks. We hadn't taken a picnic with us however there where plenty of picnic tables, BBQs and public toilets available.
We started our journey at the Canyon lookout. This was so easy to access as it was right next to the car park and the view was like something out of Jurassic World.
Our next stop was to the Goomoolahra picnic area, from here approximately 100m walk to Goomoolahra falls. Miss 3 enjoyed a cheeky game of Poohsticks in the shallow brook.
Next on the list was Tallanbana picnic area to see the twin falls. It was about 500 meters to reach the top of twin falls which Miss 3 was able to do quite easily. However, we decided to continue the 900 metre walk to reach the bottom of the falls. Although 900 meters doesn't sound very far, the gradient was very steep. Therefore about half way into the decent Mr G, and I decided to abort the mission to the bottom of the waterfall. Miss 3 did struggle a little to get back up but with a little bribery and a fun game if "going on a bear hunt", we did manage to get back to the car.
Last but not least was Hardy Lookout. After the last stop this was super easy, situated right next to the car park with two benches to simply sit and admire the view from.
We all had a fabulous time exploring new sights, smelling new smells and checking some local wildlife. Celebrities may want to get out of here, but the G family can't wait to go back.
