Spring is in the air...the nights are getting lighter and the days getting warmer. This means that it's time to kick off the winter blues and enjoy the joys of Spring.
One place that does this well is the Tesselaar Tulip Festival.
The annual sea of colour graces the Dandenongs Ranges each September.
In 1939, Cees and Johanna Tesselaar left Holland, on their wedding day, to come to the land of Oz which happened to also be the very same The Wizard of Oz hit the big screens.
So to mark the 64th year of the festival, organisers have fittingly chosen the theme 'Over the Rainbow'.
Visitors are invited to be part of a day of fun and adventure at the annual festival. It has so much to offer adults and children that it is sure to have you coming back for more.
With literally millions of tulips covering 25 acres of farmland, it's hard to see who wouldn't enjoy this natural beauty on our doorstep.
Be sure to be part of this eye catching celebration of colour.
Daily attractions including market stalls, the largest clog, tractor rides, pick your own tulips, sculpture exhibits, musical performances and more. ON top of this there are special themed events taking place throughout the festival, including:
