The Australian Garden, Cranbourne is an award winning, inspiring and immersive display of Australian fauna, landscapes, art and architecture, set in 15 hectares.
It really is the most incredible garden I have ever been to. The red dusty landscape you see when you first walk in is just the most breath-taking Aussie scene. It’s what I imagine real outback to look like.

Little doorways lead you into more gardens
The children were thrilled to be able to hop, skip and jump on the stepping stones in the very shallow river, they played in one of the playgrounds for ages, and then we had a good walk around the track taking in all the beauty as we went. There are lots of places to sit and take it all in, there was even a snakes and ladders game on the way. A large picnic area with enough space for ball games came in handy too.
The ponds were stunning this afternoon
Some of the walking tracks are pretty long, but there are coffee shops to quench your thirst (the food looks awesome). The Australian Garden offers garden talks, a little bus tour called the Garden Explorer, play areas, a shop, and so much more.
Over the holidays they are offering free face painting for the children.
This is a great place for all ages, there really is something for everyone. Just look out for snakes!
It’s on our list for another visit really soon.
Awesome play parks were a hit!
