The G boys and I recently decided to go on a Friday Funday adventure into the Dandenongs, where we popped in to one of the hills’ best kept secrets, the Piggery Café.
This beautiful 23-hectare setting is a perfect place to sit back and relax (as much as this is possible with young kids!) and forget about the worries of your day.
The modern, yet rustic, café is part of the much loved Vue Du Monde group and is a perfect place to bring the family for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. They are open for dinner every Friday night.
Once you have pigged out on your freshly cooked meal or chosen from the array of pastries and sweet treats, you can walk it off around the grounds.
The G boys took an instant liking to the resident pigs, Bubble and Squeak who didn’t disappoint us with their pig antics. There is also a large checkers board, bocce green and croquet lawn as well as a large area with blue foam construction pieces which kept the G boys occupied.
For those who still have the energy, you can take a short walk up the hill to the emu enclosure.
A perfect place to while away a morning or an afternoon with the kids.
