The Pioneer Cafe is a kid friendly cafe in Rosanna with amazing food, great coffee and a play area

Being the mother of a 3 year old I'm always on the look out for kid friendly places to go, especially if they sell good coffee.

I was invited by Lattes and Learners to attend one of their Thursday sessions, is hosted at the Latin American Inspired Pioneer Cafe.

The first great big hit was the amount of parking available. Lets be honest, parking in some areas of Melbourne is never easy.

There is parking at the front parking, on the street and parking around the back. Big spacious parking spaces that you can actually open your door in and easily get you kids out of without fear a hitting the car next to you.

I parked around the back so I entered through the large safety gate into the courtyard.

Miss 3's face was quite a picture. The courtyard was all decked apart from an astroturfed area filled with toys. It was a safe, clean mud free area for kids to play. And open enough to still be under my watchful eye the whole time.

The smells coming from the kitchen smelt divine. It was a hard choice choosing from the menu as everything looked (and smelt) delicious. I was not disappointed. I didn't however have room for dessert which looked equally as good, so I'll just have to go another day to report back on the cake selection. (I know it's a tough life but someone has to do it)

We stayed for a few hours while Miss 3 played with other children as I spoke to some lovely local mums. I really felt like I had found a hidden oasis, offering sanitary for good coffee craving needing parents in need of a break.

The Pioneer Cafe has only been open a short while, so it's still an unknown treasure. I can assure you it will not remain a secret for long.
