Get your skates on over the winter school holidays and glide along the Yarra on the River Rink at Fed Square.
This June and July, Fed Square will once again transform into a magical winter wonderland, with the return of the ice skating River Rink on the Yarra River's terrace.
Such a scene is usually synonymous with our friends in the Northern Hemisphere, skating in open parks rugged up to the nines in coats, beanies, scarves and gloves.
Now the open air rink at Fed Square brings the dream of a city-based wintry ice skating family expedition a reality.
The River Rink will be open from 10am – 10pm every day, open to skaters of all levels and ages.
Why not hire an adorable 70cm high penguin to be-friend and support your little people, while they gain the confidence they need to manage the ice on skates.
Penguin hire at River Rink
The River Rink is open from 18 June to 17 July, just in time for the Victorian school holidays. Tickets are now on sale to the public, and prices for kids start at $12.50 (includes ice skate hire) for a 45 minute session. Book your sessions in advance www.fedsquare.com/winter.
