We are totally spoilt by the number of amazing parks that are dotted around the city and the surrounding suburbs.
With each playground offering something different for kids, it’s hard to decide which one to go to next.
One that is a must on your ‘to do’ list is the Warrandyte Federation Playspace in Yarra Street, Warrandyte.
Nestled amongst native bushland, this play space offers a idyllic location to escape the hustle bustle of day-to-day life while the kids run amok.
Warrandyte Federation Playspace has something for everyone
This fenced park has many features including:
- Wooden climbing equipment with bridges, steps, ladders, slides and climbing wall
- Monkey bars and flying fox
- Climbing net
- Two swings
- Benches and undercover picnic area
- Shade sail
- Two water fountains
- Toilets are located a short walk away
If this wasn’t enough, a set of steps leads from the park into the renowned Warrandyte Bakery. Here, you can choose from a range of sweet and savoury treats, as well as hot and cold drinks, that will tantalise your taste buds.
When the kids have exhausted themselves at the park and have refuelled at the bakery, why not grab a bag of duck food (available in the bakery for a small donation which goes to wildlife conservation projects). Kids will love it when they head down to the river armed with their bag and feed the Yarra River locals.
Feeding the locals...the ducks!
The Warrandyte Federation Playspace is also just a stone’s throw away from the Warrandyte shops, cafes and restaurants.
A perfect spot for an outing with the whole family.
