The Old Melbourne Gaol is running activities from the 23rd of September until the 6th of October. You can watch courtroom trials, check out the gaol cells, and hear 'Scary and Weird Stories' (aimed at Primary Schoolers. Entry for a family (two adults and two children) is only $55.
Looking for something cheaper? Head to Birrarung Marr on Wednesday, Friday or Sunday between 10:30am and 12:30pm. You (and your kids) can play with sand, make sculptures out of recycled objects and make mandalas.
Take advantage of free admission for the kids (under 16) to Melbourne Zoo this school holidays and check out the animals. Put together especially for these holidays is the wild sea boardwalk, the seal show, and the penguin pool.
