Here in Melbourne, although there are all sorts of fun children's activities held during the holidays, sometimes it's hard to know what exactly is on and where.
What free school holiday activities are you aware of in the Melbourne region? Where are they held and what do they involve? Were they one-off events or are they held every holiday? Did your children enjoy them?
Thanks Carolyn. Although Sunday is a weekend, Polly Woodside do such on school holidays. The NGV Kids program is also worthwhile checking out, as well as courses at ArtPlay. Of course, the carols on Christmas Eve too.
The State Library of Victoria offers fun activities during school holidays that are usually free of charge. Check their website regularly as the holidays get closer for more information. For very little children there are also regular story and song sessions, while older ones often enjoy a special children's tours of the library's collections or hanging out in the Play Pod at Experimedia.
