Picture books library melbourne

Reading to children while they're young is commonly acknowledged to be of great help to their literacy as they grow. However, constantly buying new books to read can grow very expensive, very quickly.

Libraries are a great, cheap alternative. Where is the best library in Melbourne (and surrounds) for kids books? Do they have picture books, kids chapter books, or even a story time?

I actually think that Frankston library is great for kids. It's got loads of books and is very convenient. Plus the staff are super friendly!
I really like Melbourne City Library. It has a great range of picture books and games you can borrow. They also have a number of story times you can attend. See here for other kids events they support too.
I've not been yet but heard that Docklands library is pretty good
Docklands library. Not only does it have a good collection of books, it has a dedicated reading, play and interaction area for kids. Read here for more information
