Got any plans for the Queen’s Birthday Weekend? I came across something cool in my Zoo mail today.
Healesville Sanctuary is holding a Wine and Wildlife event over the Queen’s Birthday weekend. Anyone who knows me will know that anything merging food, wine and kid’s activities piques my interest!
Wine & Wildlife @ Healesville Sanctuary
The sanctuary is teaming up with Yarra Valley food and wine producers to hold an event over the weekend. The pavilions and lawns will be set up with local wineries, craft breweries and food stalls to try.
Keepers will be roaming around with animals for wildlife encounters as well as live acoustic music and open fires to keep you warm. While you are enjoying the local produce you can feel good that all proceeds directly support Zoos Victoria’s fight of the extinction of 21 local threatened speicies. Count me in!
If you haven’t been to Healesville Sanctuary this may be a great time to check it out. We love it there, the animals are in a beautiful bushland setting and visitors are able to see them close up and see them in close to natural habitat.
